Residential Recycling Collection

HCD Residential Recycling CollectionHigh Country Disposal is committed to waste prevention and recycling in Deschutes County. We offer residential and commercial recycling for customers within our city limits and for a large portion of our rural service area. At this time, we do not offer recycling services in our distant rural area.

We offer 95-gallon roll carts for commingle recycling. All commingle recycling will go in this cart except for glass and motor oil. Commingle items include: tin and aluminum, plastic bottles, tubs, jugs, mixed paper, newspaper, magazines and cardboard.

Glass is collected in a separate bin and is only available within the Redmond city limits. City of Sisters residents can take glass and motor oil to the Sisters Recycle Center.

All recycling is picked up every-other-week.

Please note that non-recyclable items included in recycling roll cart or glass bin are considered contaminants and can render a load unacceptable for recycling. This causes the container to be dumped as trash, which incurs an additional charge.

Please refer to the Recycling Preparation Guide or call us if you have a question about what is or isn’t recyclable.
