Christmas Tree Recycling

Some of the local Boy Scout troops will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling in your community the weekends of December 31 & January 1 and January 7 & 8. They are asking for a tax deductible $5-$10 donation.

100% of the money raised will go directly to the individual Scout troops. Your donation is used to fund local troop activities, community service projects and to replace worn out outdoor gear. The mission of the Boy Scouts is to create the leader of tomorrow by building character through outdoor challenges and education.

Troops in your area will post door flyers specifying which days they will be picking up trees in your neighborhood. For more information, please call the numbers listed below:

541-385-3989 for pick up in Redmond

541-385-2640 for pick up in Sisters

High Country Disposal can collect your tree on your garbage day the week of January 9 – 13 for a $5 charge. Please set your tree out next to your roll cart.

For customers with yard debris service, you can recycle your Christmas tree in your yard debris cart. Cut the tree down to smaller pieces and put in in your yard debris cart.

At no charge, Negus Transfer Station in Redmond will take Christmas trees through January 31.
