Christmas Tree Recycling 2021

Local Boy Scout troops in Redmond will be collecting and recycling Christmas trees in your community on Saturday, December 26, 2020 and Saturday, January 2, 2021. Requested minimum donation is $10.00. Donations go directly to supporting Boy Scout activities throughout the year.

Trees will be recycled so please have trees cleaned of all lights, decorations and tinsel.

Republic Services, formerly High Country Disposal, can collect your tree on your garbage day the week of January 11 – 15, 2021 for a $5 charge. Please set your tree out next to your roll cart on your regular collection day.

For city customers with curbside yard debris service, you can recycle your Christmas tree by cutting the tree down to smaller pieces and placing in your yard debris cart.

At no charge, All Deschutes County Transfer Stations and Sisters Recycle Center will take Christmas trees from residents January 2 – January 30, 2021 at no charge. Flocked trees are not accepted. Trees must be cleaned of all lights, decorations, tinsel, and wires for recycling.
