Christmas Tree Recycling

Boy Scout Troops will be picking up Christmas trees for recycling in Redmond, Terrebonne, and Eagle Crest on Saturday, December 28, 2013 and Saturday, January 4, 2014.

Trees will be recycled so please have trees cleaned of all lights, decorations and tinsel. Place trees at the edge of the curb or a location that is visible from the road by 9:00 a.m.

A tax-deductible donation of $5.00 is appreciated. A check is preferred and should be made payable to “Boy Scouts of America”. Place your donation in a plastic bag and securely attach it to your tree with a rubber band. Proceeds go to support Redmond Boy Scout troop activities throughout the year.

Residents in Eagle Crest, Terrebonne and outside Redmond city limits, please call 541-385-3989 to provide the pickup address. All other areas, no reservation is required.

For information regarding collections in Sisters, please call 541-385-2640.

If you require a Christmas tree pick up after January 4, High Country Disposal will collect your tree on your garbage day the week of January 6 – 10 for a $5 charge.  Just set your tree out next to your roll cart.

For customers with curbside yard debris service, you can recycle your Christmas tree in your yard debris cart. Cut the tree down to 3 or 4 smaller pieces and put it in your yard debris cart.

At no charge, Negus Transfer Station in Redmond and the Sisters Recycle Center will take Christmas trees January 2, 2014 through January 31, 2014.
